Real Estate Photography, Virginia Beach

Aside from my main photography, Wedding Photography, I shoot other types of work. One of those other types is real estate. I had been working for homes.com, and they needed some professional shots of local properties in the area. I enjoyed the change of pace traveling throughout the seven cities of Hampton Roads to get some really great shots.

These are three examples:

As I captured the ceremony of Philip and Thea, I was wondering if Philip was going to smile at his lovely bride, but then I realized the situation: he was just trying to hold it together!

Wow, that was me on my wedding day too!

He started to speak his vows, but he couldn’t hold back the tears any longer.

Of course, that got Thea crying as well, and just about everyone else at the wedding.

Because of those tears shed for each other, Philip and Thea’s wedding day was perfect, and I couldn’t have been happier to cover it in beautiful photographs.

The couple married at Arnold Palmer’s Signature at West Neck in Virginia Beach, and the reception was held at the Chesapeake Conference Center, located in Chesapeake.

Congratulations, Philip and Thea!

Joe and Linda Zagame, parents of my first Virginia Beach Wedding in Aug 2010

I want to thank Linda and Joe, Melissa’s parents, for coming all the way down from North of Philadelphia, PA to speak with me about my Wedding Photography services in the Virginia Beach and Tidewater area.
I had a lovely time speaking with them at The Founder’s Inn, the location of the wedding reception.
And I’m very happy they chose me for Melissa and Donovan’s August 14, 2010 wedding in Norfolk, VA. We’re going to get great shots and have great fun!

Mike and Debra, May 31, 2009: Williamsburg, VA Wedding

What a blessing it was to capture the memories for Mike and Debra on their wedding day. I had a blast with their family and friends.
The ceremony was a mixture of traditional Jewish ceremony and modern twists, and what a joy to witness it!
Mike and Debra decided on the Alumni House on the campus of William and Mary to accommodate all their guests, and it is a stately and beautiful venue. The stairwell has three levels to it with plenty of room for all the guests to stand and watch as Mike and Debra came in with their backs to each other. Practically everyone had a great spot to watch.
Thank you, Mike and Debra, for a wonderful time!

Ian and Tiffany, May 16, 2009: Virginia Beach Wedding

In spite of the thunderstorm forecast, Ian and Tiffany didn’t seem to mind one bit. I know they had other things on their minds; they were fun-loving, happy, excited and pleasant the entire day.

I dropped Charles Gnilka, my second photographer, off with Ian and the groomsmen to get some fun prep and group shots, and I headed off to meet Tiffany and the bridesmaids at Turtle Cay Resort.

We then headed off to the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, Tiffany’s home church, to make final preparations for the wedding. Since the weather was not cooperating, and we just didn’t know if it would pour down on us or not, we got some great shots up in the bridal prep room. And this was no broom closet! It was a lovely space, and we made the most of it.

Then came the ceremony. Ian gazed at his beautiful bride and Tiffany cried. I truly enjoyed covering this wedding!

As they came back down the aisle arm-in-arm as man and wife, there was no question in anyone’s mind that they would be enjoying life together for many many years to come.

Ian and Tiffany, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your most special day!

Tiffany and Ian are Marrying in Virginia Beach Tomorrow

Saturday had me a bit worried. The day smoldered in the upper 80s at my house in Portsmouth. I wondered how we would get comfortable if it was this hot for Sunday’s Engagement session with Philip and Thea.

Thankfully, yesterday was quite a bit milder, and as the sun set, the weather was near perfect. The twilight breezes kissed our cheeks  as we walked around the front portions of the golf course to get some beautiful and intimate shots of Philip and Thea’s love for each other.

We had a blast last night, and I am so looking forward to their wedding day!

Talk about arrangement difficulties. Mike and Cathi faced it all.

They had first booked a house in the Sandbridge, VA area, near Virginia Beach, for their family and friends to celebrate with them in their marriage.

They had booked the house eight months prior to their wedding day, and so it was quite the surprise when they got a call saying that the house would be unavailable for repairs. Did I mention they got this call in April, one month before they were scheduled? Crazy.

But Mike and Cathi roll with the punches very well, and they found another house to rent.

To my surprise, I got a call from Mike a week later saying that the second house they rented just canceled on them, and they weren’t able to find another house. They would have to cancel and get married up in Philadelphia, Pa near where they live in the Hyatt Regency.
I really wanted a win-win situation for the both of us, and so I suggested that instead of canceling, I would drive up and shoot their wedding up there. It would be my first destination wedding!

We worked it out and we got some great pictures and great memories.

Mike and Cathi are just as easy-going as they come. No complaints at all. They were just happy to be together.

Below are a few of the great shots we got that afternoon in Philadelphia, PA.

Sarah’s Bridal Session: Sneak Peak

We weren’t quite sure we would get through the Bridal photo shoot before the rain came, but we did, and what pictures we got!

We met in Yorktown, VA for the Bridal portraits, and the puffy clouds in the sky worked perfectly as a great diffuser.

Every once in a while the sun broke through the clouds and shone down upon Sarah’s reddish-brown hair.

It made her just glow!

I am still processing the pictures, but I wanted to upload a few shots that I really liked.

A Quick Trip to Michigan

My wife and I decided to take a quick trip up to Northern Michigan since my mom and sister and other family and friends hadn’t seen Susannah at all or for a very long time. I didn’t get a ton of pics because of time constraints, but I’m uploading a few.
